The service is ideal for businesses and organisation who wish to join two or more offices in different locations and enable them to avail of the benefits of a local area network (LAN).

If you wish to join more than two sites to each other, then a point to multi-point circuit can be deployed with one of your organisations sites being designated as the central site and all point to point circuits being delivered to this site.

Key service features of WAN/LAN Extensions include the following:

• Secure service with customer traffic seperations from other circuits, VPNs and the internet
• Fully transparent Layer 2 connection between two or more sites
• Does not require routers at any customer sites
• Low cost investment and maintenance
• Can be combined with internet access services
• Enables customers to route non IP Traffic providing it can be encapsulated in Ethernet frames
