Dublin Zoo - Experience one of the world's oldest Zoo's
Historic in terms of foundation, its recent technological advances have been far from dated. Located in the Phoenix Park the Zoo has always been hampered by a lack of options for un-contended bandwidth service from internet service providers, this in turn was having a knock on effect on the Zoo's ICT ambitions and daily operations.
Digiweb worked with the Zoo and their network contractors to deliver un-contended high speed internet access which was both reliable and scalable to expand with the Zoo’s ever growing requirement. Since its deployment in late 2008 Dublin Zoo has been able to achieve its technical ambitions such as the deployment of real-time Zoo Cam which allow members view in HD live streaming of there favourite animals from the comfort of the members home.
Digiweb is also the chosen supplier of landline voice rates for Dublin zoo, The Zoo had been with its previous supplier since the beginning of telephone operations in Ireland. The move to Digiweb voice service involved no interruption to services and Dublin Zoo now enjoy substantial monthly savings on their monthly telecoms bills without sacrificing service.
